Ferry van Loo, Zutphen. Ferry has been fascinated by home pigeons almost his whole life. Already as a youngster he was fascinated by pigeons, what they locked like, where to get them etc. As a teenager with his father and pigeon expert Hannes van Osch he visited the then famous world crack Maurice Delbar from Ronse and, of course came back with pigeons. Probably from that time on he was very much interested in the Belgian pigeon, knowing that small pigeon flyers get a very good result on the basis of quality.   Development Ferry reads the Belgian trade journals thoroughly and keeps a close track on new developments. He takes notes of new developments and characteristics of a good pigeon and files them away. He is a believer of the quality of the eye and wing. Trough the years he becomes a pigeon man to knows how to combine theory and practice. With his experience and knowledge he builds a pigeon stock with weekly fantastic results. Already in the eighties he becomes famous for his great chain results. At that time he is a hobbyist with very good results, which is greatly appreciated by his rivalry. Unfortunately the building of his stock was interfered by his moving home several times, also due to the removal of his ladies ‘hairdresser’s.. Sometimes it appears that the new place isn’t suitable for pigeons, so he has to look for an other place. Intensification In the beginning he intensified his structure of stock from hobbyists in the surroundings, who had booked great results. When he moved to the west side of the IJssel and had more leisure time, he again fell in love with the Belgian pigeon. Because of his thorough knowledge of the trade, he knew where to find top quality. In the nineties he visited many dovecots and brought the best pigeons back to Holland, where they became the basis of the present breeding of Ferry van Loo. Competition In spite of excellent competitors his pigeons get results that can hardly be beaten. Again his chain results are being published, now on text channel. This happens at his new pace at Mulderskamp in Zutphen where he has been living since 2003. At this place, he must have thought, the quality of his pigeons would be best and he was right, Where can you find better results at present?
