Structure of stock
Maurice Voets from Kessel (Belgium) was the first pigeon flyer visited by Ferry. Children and grandchildren of “Witslap”and”Bourges”moved to Zutphen. From Louis Goveaerts from Berlaar he got grandchildren from the “Oude Zwarte”and from Flor Vervoort, Hallaart he took a sister of the mother of “Fieneke 5000” who appeared to be a fantastic breeding female pigeon. There were also good pigeons from Jaap van Mourik from Tricht, who successfully crossbred the pigeons from Voets and Govaerts.
He made more purchases from various dovecots, bu some of them weren’t good enough. Only the strong Antwerp pigeons could beat the ruinous competition in Zutphen and surroundings.
From the region of Poessenauw from Arnhem came excellent pigeons from Schaerlakens, which goes back to “Fameuze as 77”of Maurce Voets.
Well, from all this it is clears that in the years to come we must reckon with the excellent pigeons of the Van Loo stock.
Seeing that Ferry keeps improving all the time, these successful years will be continued and perhaps even surpassed!
When we say Ferry van Loo, we know he is the man responsible for the chain results within 9 GOU. Ferry van Loo has been playing with pigeons for 40 years.
At first these were Vitesse and Midfond.
In 2006 he took a well-considered move to the one-day Fond, with great success. What about Orleans starting whit price 3 district 8 GOU (5596 pigeons, out of 29, 19 prize-winners), Bourges starting |

Eye of 'De Flerk' |
with prices 7 and 8 (3402 pigeons, out of 24, 10 prize-winners, Blois beginning whit the 1 one and 7th and 8th (3619, out of 18, 13 prize-winners etc.)
Only very few can add these results to their record of achievements!
Ferry is a man with a system of his own and with a special view on pigeons, and it works!
Ferry has some principles on the pigeon: not too stocky build, excellent wings and eyes. During the flying seasons he has one rule: lots of training, food and rest.
He never changes the system; however, he is not against modernizing.
Ferry is a real personality who is never satisfied, for they can always go faster and better.
You must be thinking: harder still??
Almost all of his stock pigeons have their roots in Belgium. He has pigeons from Louis Gouyvearts, Maurcice Voets, Flor Vervoort, Marien Rooyberg etc, etc.
All specialists of a kind. On this website you can read more about the history of the Van Loo Stock.
